Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund (England)
The Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund (previously known as the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund or SHDF) offers registered social housing providers in England access to government funding to improve the energy efficiency of their housing stock.
This funding is designed to:
- Deliver warmer, more energy-efficient homes
- Reduce carbon emissions
- Tackle fuel poverty
- Support green jobs and the retrofit sector
- Improve tenant health and well-being
Eligible measures include heating system upgrades, insulation, renewable energy installations, and smart heating controls, which can be included in the capital costs of funded projects.
In Wave 3, £1.29 billion has been allocated to 144 projects.
