Discover the Power of Temperature and Humidity Sensors to Help Tackle Damp and Mould in your Home.
Dampness and mould not only impact the aesthetics of your home but also your health and well-being. They can trigger respiratory issues, allergies, and worsen existing conditions. By using temperature and humidity sensors, potential problems can be highlighted before they impact your everyday life.
What is a Surveyor Cube?
This is a smart device which consists of a gateway box and room sensors, which collect temperature and humidity data.
Why is this important?
Surveyor Cubes are designed to help with maintaining a healthy environment for you to live in. If the environment is off balance, steps can be taken to help you improve your living environment.
Does it benefit me?
Yes. Your housing provider will have a better understanding of how your home is performing and can give advice or make some improvements to help keep it healthy.
How can I help with maintaining a healthy environment in my home?
Use your extractor fans in order to improve air quality and also ensure that you regularly ventilate all rooms in your property, not only in the summer but also in the winter.
What is the running cost of a Surveyor Cube?
The gateway box costs less than 1/10 of the running cost of a modern under-the-counter fridge, the most energy-efficient fridge available on the market – and the room sensors operate with batteries and therefore cost nothing to run.
Will it interfere any other electrical equipment in the home?
No.
Does it use my Wi-Fi?
No, all devices are run using GSM cellular technology providing a secure data stream which does not use Wi-Fi.
What can it tell about me?
Nothing. It will only understand the temperature and relative humidity in the rooms where sensors are installed.
Does it monitor my movements?
No, there are no motion sensors on any of the devices.
Can it see what I am doing?
No, there are no cameras on any of the devices.
Is it listening to me?
No, there are no microphones or sound recording equipment on any of the devices.
Do I need to do anything with it?
No, once the Surveyor Cube is installed you do not need to conduct any maintenance. Please leave the devices alone and they will automatically collect information.
Will my housing provider know if I tamper with it?
Yes, there are integrated tamper switches. If a device is opened up, turned off, or tampered with, notifications are sent to your housing provider.
Will my housing provider know if I turn it off?
This will cause the data stream to stop, and your housing provider will receive notification of this.
Why shouldn’t I turn it off?
Your housing provider has invested in this technology in order to benefit you, the resident, to help ensure that your environmental living conditions are as healthy as possible.
